Getting Started

Learn the basics of Helm and start discovering partners, joining communities, and managing your dynamic

Creating an Account

To start using Helm, you'll need to create an account. Here's how:

  1. Visit the Registration Page
Go to helmapp.co/register in your web browser.
  2. Enter Your Information
Provide your email address, create a username (5-50 characters), and choose a secure password (at least 8 characters).
  3. Choose Your Identity
Select the identity that best describes your role in the dynamic (e.g., dominant, submissive, switch, exploring). This personalizes your experience from day one and can be changed later in Account Settings.
  4. Complete Registration
Click "Register" to create your account. You'll be automatically logged in.
✓ Username Requirements
Usernames must be 5-50 characters and can contain letters, numbers, underscores, and hyphens. Helm will check availability in real-time as you type.

Age Verification

Helm requires biometric age verification for all users. This helps us maintain a safe, verified community and comply with legal requirements. Every person you match with or message has been confirmed as a real person, 18+.

  1. Start Verification
After registration, you'll be prompted to verify your age. Click "Start Verification" to begin.
  2. Choose Verification Method
Select from available options: ID verification, age estimation, or other approved methods via our partner Didit.
  3. Complete Verification
Follow the prompts to complete verification. This typically takes 1-2 minutes.
  4. Confirmation
Once verified, you'll have full access to Helm features including Discovery matching, communities, and dynamic management. Your verification badge is visible on your profiles.
✓ Privacy Protected
Age verification is handled by Didit, a trusted third party. We only receive a pass/fail result — no personal documents, biometric data, or identity details are stored on Helm servers. Your privacy is our foundation.

Helm's interface is organized around four pillars that cover the full lifecycle of a D/s relationship — from finding a partner to growing together. Here are the main areas:

The Four Pillars

Helm is organized into four pillars, each representing a core part of the experience:

The Helm dashboard serves as your home base, showing summaries from each pillar with quick links to dive deeper.
