What Is the Partner Detail View?

The Partner Detail View is a per-person dashboard you reach by navigating to /partners/:id (for example, by tapping a partner's name or avatar anywhere in the app). It consolidates everything relevant to one relationship — active tasks, shared journal entries, negotiated limits, and praise — into a single screen rather than asking you to visit three separate sections.

The view is always available to any member of a hierarchy. No feature flag or subscription gate applies (the gate from Spec 191 was retired in June 2026).

Accessing the Partner Detail View

Any link to a partner's profile within Helm routes to their detail page. Common entry points include:

• Tapping a member's name or avatar in the hierarchy member list
• Following a link from a task assignment that shows the assignee's name
• Navigating directly to /partners/<partner-public-id>

If the person is not in your hierarchy, or the link is stale, the page shows an error state: "This partner isn't in your dynamic." Use the Back button to return.

Layout by Screen Size

The view has two distinct layouts depending on screen width:

Mobile and Tablet (narrower than 1024 px)

A sticky header shows the partner's avatar, display name, role, and how long they have been in your dynamic. A Message button opens your direct message thread with them. Below the header, a tab rail lets you switch between sections.

Desktop (1024 px and wider)

The full-scroll dashboard (Spec 191b) shows a hero card with the partner's avatar, display name, current streak, last check-in time, and 14-day ritual completion percentage. Below the hero, content is split into a main column and a right-hand sidebar.

• Left column (Dominant view): shared rituals with progress bars, limits and agreements table, shared journal preview
• Left column (submissive view): 7-day and 30-day task completion rates, best streak, milestone timeline, shared journal preview
• Right sidebar: compact stat cards — current streak, open task count, praise wallet (Dom only), 14-day ritual completion. Two Phase 2 placeholders (scheduled ritual timing and safeword quick-view) appear dimmed.

Tab Sets

On mobile and tablet, one of two tab sets is shown based on your role.

Dominant Tab Set

1. Overview
   Summary of the partner's activity: streak, open task count, ritual completion percentage, active rituals, recent journal entries. Provides quick links into the other tabs.
2. Tasks
   All tasks assigned to this partner, filterable by status. Review submitted completions directly from this tab.
3. Journal
   The shared journal entries between you and this partner. Entries you are permitted to read appear here; entries restricted to one author do not.
4. Limits
   The partner's negotiated hard and soft limits, each with a last-reviewed date. Use the "Propose change" or "Review cadence" actions (desktop only) to manage limits.
5. Praise
   Praise tokens you have sent to this partner, including how many are still unopened (the praise wallet count). A "Send one now" shortcut routes to the Cultivate section. The label for this tab may differ if your organization uses custom terminology.

Submissive Tab Set

1. Overview
   Your activity summary relative to this Dominant: streak, open task count, ritual completion, and recent journal entries.
2. Relationship
   Relationship statistics: 7-day and 30-day task completion rates, current and best streak, and a milestone list (months together, streak milestones). This tab is only visible to the submissive role, not Dominants.
3. Journal
   Shared journal entries with this Dominant, sorted newest first.
4. Agreements
   Your negotiated limits and agreements, presented in read-only form. Contact your Dominant to propose changes.
5. Praise
   Praise tokens your Dominant has sent you, displayed as a feed so you can revisit past praise. The label may reflect custom terminology.

Attention Strip

Directly below the tab rail (or above the hero card on desktop), a contextual strip surfaces the single most important signal about the relationship at that moment. The strip color and message change based on your role and what requires attention.

Dominant Attention States

• Awaiting Review (amber): Your partner has submitted one or more task completions waiting for your approval. A "Review →" button takes you directly to the Command queue filtered to submitted completions.
• Not Yet Today (amber): Your partner has not checked in within the last 20 hours (or has never checked in). The strip shows how many hours have elapsed and how many streak days are at risk. A "Send prompt →" button opens your message thread so you can reach out.
• All Clear (green): All submitted completions are reviewed and your partner has checked in today. The strip shows the current streak and, if available, a hint for when the next check-in is expected.

Submissive Attention States

• Overdue (red): A task assigned to you is past its due time. The strip shows the task title and how many minutes past due it is. A "Begin →" button navigates to the task.
• From [Dominant's name] (blue): Your Dominant has sent a prompt or message requiring your attention. A preview of the message text is shown. "View →" opens the message thread.
• You're On Track (green): No overdue tasks and no unanswered prompts. If the next scheduled task is known, its title and time appear here.

Relationship to the Hierarchy Dashboard

The Partner Detail View is complementary to the main hierarchy dashboard, not a replacement for it. The hierarchy dashboard shows an aggregate view across all members — task counts, points totals, and alerts for the whole dynamic. The Partner Detail View zooms in on one relationship so you can act on it directly: review a completion, open a journal entry, check their limits, or send a message — without leaving their context.

Links between the two surfaces are intentional: the hierarchy dashboard links into partner detail pages for each member, and the Partner Detail View's "Open Chronicle →" button on desktop takes you back to the shared Chronicle filtered to that partner.
